Accountant (iGaming & Crypto)

Our client is a forward-thinking organization operating at the intersection of traditional finance and digital assets. We are looking for a remote, English-speaking Intermediate Accountant based in Costa Rica to manage the financial ecosystem for two of our core business entities.

Role Summary:

Location: 100% Remote (Must be based in Costa Rica)

Status: Part-Time (Weekly engagement)

Language: 100% English

Compensation: Paid in Cryptocurrency (Stablecoins or Major Assets)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Weekly Bookkeeping & Financial Management

Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for two separate entities:

Entity A: 100% Cryptocurrency transactions (Internal reporting only).

Entity B: 50% Cryptocurrency / 50% Fiat (State of Delaware reporting requirements).

Reconcile all crypto wallet activity, exchange data, and bank statements weekly.

Prepare monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and Balance Sheets

2. iGaming Operations (Preferred)

Monitor and report on industry-specific metrics, including Gross Gaming Revenue

(GGR) and Net Gaming Revenue (NGR).

Ensure accurate treatment of player balances and bonus incentives in financial records.

3. Systems & Payments

Select, set up, and implement an accounting software solution (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or crypto-specific sub-ledgers).

Prepare and queue weekly payments for approval (No treasury execution or fund-moving authority required).

Qualifications:

Intermediate Experience: 3–5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.

Crypto Proficiency: Comfortable navigating block explorers and recording digital asset transactions.

Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of Delaware financial reporting standards is a major plus.

Industry Experience: Previous work with online gambling or iGaming companies is highly preferred.

Technical Skills: Ability to build accounting workflows from scratch without existing software.

Flawless professional English (written and verbal).

High level of autonomy and organization for a remote environment.

Analytical mindset regarding GGR/NGR and gaming-specific financial flows.
