CNC Machinist

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Swiss-style lathes to manufacture high-precision components.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Manually edit and write G and M code programs when needed.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to meet exacting specifications.
• Work closely with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

QualificationsRequired:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or military training preferred.
• 7+ years of machining experience, with 35 years specifically in Swiss turning.
• Proven experience working with tight tolerances (sub 0.0005 in / 0.0127 mm).
• Proficient in manual G/M code programming.
• Advanced knowledge of GD&T and part inspection methods.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Preferred:

• Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Esprit, NX).
• Familiarity with Star Swiss-style machines, CMMs, and tool grinding.
• Background in new product introduction (NPI) environments.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and handle materials up to 35 lbs.
• Prolonged standing while operating machines.
