Position Overview
The Nursing Manager for the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) is responsible for the 24-hour leadership and management of the assigned clinical unit, ensuring high-quality patient care that meets established standards. This role involves overseeing nursing operations, coordinating staff activities, and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes excellence in clinical practice and patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership, supervision, and coordination for nursing staff within the Intermediate Care Unit.

Ensure delivery of patient care aligns with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies.

Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, and other departments to optimize patient care and workflow.

Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives.

Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and resource allocation to maintain efficient operations.

Support professional development and competency of nursing staff through training, evaluation, and mentorship.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

Acute care Intermediate Care (IMC) experience required.

Leadership experience required.

Current state RN license (or eligibility for licensure).

Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
