Role Overview:
We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to play a leading role in building and scaling a modern fintech platform. This is a highly hands-on position where you will write high-quality code, lead by example, and make technical decisions that accelerate product delivery.

You will collaborate across Product, Design, and Data teams to transform complex user problems into elegant, maintainable solutions. This role thrives in a fast-paced environment where autonomy, accountability, and impact go hand-in-hand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full lifecycle of complex features: scope, design, implement, and ship code that enhances user workflows.

  • Serve as a technical lead for critical initiatives, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to simplify ambiguous problems into maintainable solutions.

  • Deliver AI-driven solutions to streamline workflows and decision-making.

  • Build and enhance internal APIs and integrations using a modern TypeScript stack (React + Node.js).

  • Champion engineering best practices, including testing, code reviews, observability, and CI/CD.

  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers.

  • Influence technical culture, architecture, tooling, and continuous improvement processes.

Required Technical Skills:

  • TypeScript, React, Node.js

  • Experience delivering production software in modern web stacks

  • Designing, building, and delivering end-to-end features (5+ years; 7+ preferred)

  • Proven technical leadership on complex projects

  • Comfortable using AI-driven coding tools to enhance productivity

  • Experience with compliance-heavy or detailed data systems

Preferred Experience:

  • Working in talent-dense environments such as later-stage startups or large tech companies

  • Strong background in modern web engineering and scalable architecture

  • Interest in FinTech platforms is a plus

Other Details:

  • Remote-first role with quarterly co-location travel (4 days per quarter)

  • Occasional travel may be required for team alignment and project planning
