Position Summary:
This role provides leadership and support to the senior executive responsible for nursing and patient care functions within the hospital. The Director will assist in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice across multiple units, assuming 24/7 responsibility for assigned areas. The role supports the executive team to ensure high-quality, safe nursing care, competent clinical staff, and proper resource management.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain an active and current registered nurse license in the state of practice.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, proven leadership ability, and operational knowledge of hospital functions.
- Serve as a role model and advocate for the nursing profession.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate degree in nursing from an accredited school required.
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or BSN required.
- MSN or master's in a healthcare-related field preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting as a manager or director.
- At least 3 years of psychiatric hospital experience required.
Certifications:
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
- CPR certification required.
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of background check and pre-employment health screening, including drug screening.
