Position Summary
The Electrical Engineer will provide technical support to maintenance, operations, safety, and quality teams within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting, restoring production flow, improving equipment reliability, and leading electrical and automation-related improvements across the finishing department.
This is a 100% on-site role and ideal for an engineer who enjoys working directly on the plant floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide electrical engineering support to maintenance and operations, including off-shift support when needed
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to determine root cause and implement permanent solutions

Develop and improve preventative maintenance systems
- Lead and manage equipment rebuilds and capital improvement projects
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert for department equipment and systems

Support and promote safety, quality, and environmental initiatives
- Analyze equipment and process data to identify improvement opportunities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution

Minimum 2+ years of electrical engineering experience
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Rockwell / Allen-Bradley preferred)

Experience with AC/DC motor drives

Knowledge of industrial networking and automation communications

Experience with power distribution systems
- Manufacturing experience in metals, aluminum processing, rolling mills, or similar industries
- Experience with furnaces, casting equipment, shears, strip processing, or coiling systems

Familiarity with data acquisition systems and data analytics

Experience managing and executing capital projects
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
