Role Overview:
Hybrid Structural Engineer Transmission Projects (3 Days Onsite, Any U.S. Office)
A well-established, nationally respected engineering firm is looking for a Structural Engineer to join their team in supporting transmission infrastructure initiatives across the United States. This hybrid position requires in-person work three days a week at any of the companys domestic office locations.
You will focus on the structural engineering and analysis of high-voltage transmission lines and their associated infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings technical expertise, team collaboration, and a proactive mindset to help ensure project delivery aligns with scope, timeline, and quality standards.
What You'll do:
- Design and analyze steel and concrete structures for transmission lines and foundations.
- Conduct structural calculations adhering to applicable industry codes and standards.
- Lead or support project teams in achieving project milestones and deliverables.

Coordinate with internal teams from multiple engineering disciplines.
- Communicate with clients and contribute to business development when appropriate.

Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.

At least 5 years of structural engineering experience.

Hands-on expertise with PLS-CADD.

Strong knowledge of steel and concrete design, including experience with 3D modeling and analysis software.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

U.S. work authorization is required (no visa sponsorship available).

Design of transmission steel structures and foundations.

Involvement in large-scale utility transmission projects.

Leadership experience or mentoring of junior engineers.
