Role Overview:

Hybrid Structural Engineer Transmission Projects (3 Days Onsite, Any U.S. Office)

A well-established, nationally respected engineering firm is looking for a Structural Engineer to join their team in supporting transmission infrastructure initiatives across the United States. This hybrid position requires in-person work three days a week at any of the companys domestic office locations.

You will focus on the structural engineering and analysis of high-voltage transmission lines and their associated infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings technical expertise, team collaboration, and a proactive mindset to help ensure project delivery aligns with scope, timeline, and quality standards.

What You'll do:

  • Design and analyze steel and concrete structures for transmission lines and foundations.
  • Conduct structural calculations adhering to applicable industry codes and standards.
  • Lead or support project teams in achieving project milestones and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with internal teams from multiple engineering disciplines.

  • Communicate with clients and contribute to business development when appropriate.
Required Qualifications: 
  • Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.

  • At least 5 years of structural engineering experience.

  • Hands-on expertise with PLS-CADD.

  • Strong knowledge of steel and concrete design, including experience with 3D modeling and analysis software.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • U.S. work authorization is required (no visa sponsorship available).

Preferred Experience:
  • Design of transmission steel structures and foundations.

  • Involvement in large-scale utility transmission projects.

  • Leadership experience or mentoring of junior engineers.
