Engineer IV
About the job Engineer IV
Activities:
- Prepare detailed project plans, timelines, cost estimates, and financial analyses for capital and general projects across the plants. Develop and submit capital project proposals as needed.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes to improve methods, reduce costs, and modernize production equipment.
- Manage technical projects, including equipment installation, commissioning, product and process trials, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Plant Acceptance Tests (PAT), and equipment qualifications collaborating with internal departments and external vendors.
- Support new equipment startups and ensure machinery achieves budgeted performance levels.
- Troubleshoot, adjust, and maintain automatic and semi-automatic production machinery, including electrical and mechanical systems, PLC machine controls, HMIs, servo drive systems, and vision systems.
- Apply knowledge of high-speed, high-volume manufacturing and assembly processes. Use automation to reduce manufacturing costs, increase reliability, and enhance consistency.
- Experience with robotics, AGVs, machine automation, data collection, and networking is a plus.
- Bring at least 5 years of industry experience with a strong emphasis on robotics and/or automation.
- Bring at least 5 years of experience with AGVs in high-speed production environments, including troubleshooting and programming.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Rockwell Automation PLC and HMI programming software.
- Use AutoCAD software proficiently for developing layouts and electrical documentation.
- Manage project expenses and ensure adherence to budget. Use purchasing systems to generate purchase requisitions and track purchase orders.
- Participate in engineering meetings to evaluate manufacturing equipment designs, tooling, and engineering methods.

Location & Travel:
This position will be based in Jackson, TN, or one of our larger facilities. Travel will depend on project locationsJackson being a primary siteand may range from 50% to 70% depending on project demands.
Qualifications:
- You have a four-year degree (preferred), ideally with an engineering focus.

You have project management experience.
- You have 5+ years of experience in design, automation, integration, and project managementincluding expertise in PLC machine controls, servo motor drive systems, computerized vision systems, AC/DC drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and other electromechanical equipment.
Compensation:
- Engineer IV: Annual base salary of $116,160 to $130,680, plus a 7.5% target bonus.
- Engineer V: Annual base salary of $131,920 to $148,410, plus a 12.5% target bonus.
