About the job Transmission Line Engineer

A nationally recognized engineering firm is seeking a Structural Engineer to support transmission infrastructure projects across the U.S. This role includes the structural design and analysis of high-voltage transmission systems and related infrastructure. The position requires in-office work three days per week at any of the firms U.S. office locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyze transmission structures and foundations.
  • Perform detailed structural calculations in accordance with industry standards.
  • Provide technical leadership on project teams and support schedule, budget, and quality goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Maintain strong client communication and contribute to business development efforts when needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Proficiency in PLS-CADD is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering.
  • Strong experience with steel and concrete design, including use of 3D modeling and analysis tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work without sponsorship

Preferred Experience:

  • Structural design of transmission steel structures and foundations.
  • Utility-scale electrical transmission project experience.
  • Experience leading teams or mentoring junior engineers.
