About the job Transmission Line Engineer
A nationally recognized engineering firm is seeking a Structural Engineer to support transmission infrastructure projects across the U.S. This role includes the structural design and analysis of high-voltage transmission systems and related infrastructure. The position requires in-office work three days per week at any of the firms U.S. office locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze transmission structures and foundations.
- Perform detailed structural calculations in accordance with industry standards.
- Provide technical leadership on project teams and support schedule, budget, and quality goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines.
- Maintain strong client communication and contribute to business development efforts when needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Proficiency in PLS-CADD is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering.
- Strong experience with steel and concrete design, including use of 3D modeling and analysis tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work without sponsorship
Preferred Experience:
- Structural design of transmission steel structures and foundations.
- Utility-scale electrical transmission project experience.
- Experience leading teams or mentoring junior engineers.
