Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker to join our 3rd shift team (11:00 PM 7:00 AM). This role supports daily production operations and ensures that manufacturing work cells operate efficiently and safely. The position involves constructing and repairing tools, dies, and other components used in the manufacturing process, as well as assisting with machine operations and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor one or more production lines and operations in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the construction, repair, and maintenance of tooling, dies, and other manufacturing components.
  • Learn and apply skills in milling, grinding, turning, and other machining operations.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.

  • Measure and inspect machined parts using precision instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with tools and dies under supervision.

  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and manufacturing guidelines.

  • Participate in training sessions and skill-building workshops.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in machining and constructing tooling to drawing specifications.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience reading blueprint drawings.

  • Minimum of 1 year experience using manual lathes, mills, grinders, and similar equipment.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience machining a variety of tool steels, including D2, A2, and copper.
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Tooling, Machining, or related field, or 2 years of experience as a die maker.
  • Experience building die tooling for stamping/manufacturing processes.

  • Welding experience (TIG/MIG).

  • Familiarity with steel heat-treating processes.

Skills & Certifications:

  • Must meet all required basic qualifications.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

  • Knowledge of machining operations and safety standards.

Work Details:

  • Full-time, 3rd shift.

  • No relocation assistance; candidates must reside within the immediate area (approx. 50 miles).
