About the job Ink Technician
Job Overview
This is not a Graphic Design Position. Applicants without some level of ink experience will not be considered.
The Ink Technician will be responsible for producing high-quality water-based blended inks that meet customer specifications. The role requires hands-on work in ink formulation, precise color matching, and timely delivery of press-ready inks to production equipment. The technician will also ensure adherence to safety standards and production schedules while maintaining an organized workspace.
Shift: Open to working Day, Night, Rotating, and/or Weekend shifts

Key Responsibilities

Weigh, blend, and deliver press-ready inks efficiently while maintaining quality standards.

Perform accurate color matching and ink formulation to meet production requirements.

Maintain documentation of color matches, ink adjustments, returns, and complaints as directed.

Keep the work environment clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.

Use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Support additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Decision-Making Responsibilities

Verify product quality to ensure compliance with customer specifications.

Select raw materials and evaluate suitability of finished inks.

Assess the recyclability of returned inks.
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent; chemistry coursework preferred.

2 years experience in ink formulation, blending, or a related field (preferred).

Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise instructions.

Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset.

Ability to adapt quickly to new processes and technologies.
Preferred Skills & Experience

Experience toning inks.
-
Flexographic printing experience.

Color formulation and matching background.

Hands-on work with water-based inks.

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements

Lift up to 2550 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Comfortable handling chemicals in a production setting.

Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
