As part of this firmwide initiative, they are establishing a brand-new, high-impact Equity Research AI team dedicated to pioneering the intersection of cutting-edge artificial intelligence and deep market intelligence. Positions are available across four core areas, with flexible location options based on candidate preference in Hong Kong, Singapore, or Shanghai.

What the Roles Offer

Depending on your specialization, you will play a critical role in shaping the firm's future capabilities and take ownership of high-impact projects. You can expect to:

• Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE): Work embedded directly within the Equity Research teams to deeply understand investment workflows, identify operational bottlenecks, and rapidly prototype, ship, and integrate custom AI/LLM tools into daily research operations. Act as the primary technical translator between complex user requirements and scalable software solutions.
• AI Engineer: Serve as a core architect of intelligence by designing, fine-tuning, and implementing LLMs, machine learning models, and NLP pipelines. Develop advanced architectures (including RAG systems and agentic workflows) to extract insights from massive volumes of unstructured global market data, ensuring model scalability and low-latency performance in production.
• Data Engineer: Design, build, and maintain highly scalable, automated data pipelines (ETL/ELT) to ingest financial and alternative datasets. Structure and optimize traditional relational databases alongside specialized Vector/NoSQL databases for high-velocity AI inference, while implementing rigorous data governance and pipeline monitoring.
• Equity Research Analyst (AI-Driven): Conduct deep fundamental research, company valuations, and sector analysis heavily augmented by proprietary AI tools. Partner closely with internal technical teams to co-create custom prompts and analytics workflows, synthesizing vast amounts of data into clear, structured, and actionable investment recommendations.

Who We Are Looking For

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience across technology, high-growth startups, management consulting, or finance. Open to more senior candidates, who will be considered for senior or lead-level tracks.
• Education & Background: A strong track record of academic excellence. Mainland China backgrounds are highly welcome, with a distinct preference for graduates from premier institutions such as Tsinghua University, Fudan University, or Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
• Industry Agnostic: A traditional finance background is not mandatory. Non-finance backgrounds are highly acceptable; we welcome candidates from tech firms or corporate/consulting environments who have a proven track record of using data, automation, or AI to radically optimize operations and research efficiency.
• Technical Skillsets:
• Engineers: Mastery of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, and modern AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain/LlamaIndex) or big data stacks (Spark, Airflow, Snowflake, Vector DBs).
• Analysts: Elite analytical, financial modeling, or corporate strategy skills, paired with a tech-forward mindset.
• Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills with proficiency in English. Strong proficiency or bilingual fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) is highly preferred to support regional collaboration and market coverage.
