Accountant (Onsite, Lahore, PKR Salary)

Requirements:

• CA or ACCA-qualified accountant.
• 4-5 years of experience working remotely with a UK-based accounting firm.
• Proven proficiency in accounting software, including Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, Sage Business Cloud, Sage Line 50, VTT+, and TaxCalc.
• Experience in data migration from Sage Business Cloud to Xero is a plus.
• Strong understanding of VAT, accounting principles, and UK tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous eye for detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor junior staff.
• A proactive and results-oriented team player with a positive attitude.
• Experience using video conferencing and collaboration tools for remote work is a plus 

Responsibilities:

• Process financial transactions, maintain general ledger accuracy, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare value-added tax (VAT) returns, manage VAT calculations, and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
• Collaborate with the tax team to prepare accurate and timely corporate and individual tax returns.
• Review and mentor junior staff on accounting processes, VAT calculations, and tax return preparation.
• Assist in the creation of financial reports, analyse trends, and provide insights to management.
• Maintain a strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and relevant industry best practices.
