Senior Backend Engineer (Remote, USD Salary)

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in production backend development with strong expertise in TypeScript and Node.js, enabling immediate productivity.
• Skilled in AWS Lambda with a solid understanding of serverless patterns and best practices.
• Proficient in PostgreSQL/RDS, including schema design, query optimization, and handling migrations.
• Experienced with GitHub workflows, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD processes.
• Well-versed in REST API development, OpenAPI specifications, and secure authentication using OAuth2 and JWT.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and quickly integrate into existing codebases.
• Strong communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
• Familiar with financial or transactional systems.
• Experienced with AWS services such as API Gateway, Cognito, and CloudWatch.
• Skilled in using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Experience with regulatory compliance processes and KYC/AML workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Build and enhance backend services using our TypeScript/Node.js stack.
• Implement APIs and business logic for financial workflows and data processing.
• Work with AWS Lambda functions and RDS/PostgreSQL databases.
• Integrate with external services and third-party APIs.
• Ensure code quality, testing, and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with the team via GitHub and our development workflows.
• Debug and optimize existing systems for performance and reliability.
