Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in healthcare, health IT, or life sciences domains.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical workflows, especially in oncology, EMR systems, and research protocols.
  • Experience supporting AI, SaaS, or digital health projects.
  • Ability to translate requirements into user stories or structured formats usable by product and technical teams.
  • Familiarity with evaluating commercial software tools, including pricing comparisons, feature analysis, and TCO considerations.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder facilitation, written documentation, and information synthesis.
  • Proven experience conducting Build-vs-Buy or technology evaluation frameworks in client or consulting settings.
  • Ability to develop or contribute to high-level strategic roadmaps, aligning business needs with solution delivery sequencing.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise architecture, interoperability, and EMR integrations.
  • Comfort with vendor demos, technical documentation review, and pricing negotiations.
  • Experience in Lean/Agile delivery environments.
  • Health data literacy structured and unstructured (e.g., EMR fields, pathology reports).
  • Foundational fluency in AI/ML enough to speak credibly about LLMs and use case design.
  • Basic awareness of patient data risks and healthcare regulatory environments.
  • Startup-consulting hybrid mindset comfortable with ambiguity, resourcefulness, and self-direction.
  • Collaborative yet assertive, able to take initiative while respecting clinical and partner input.
  • High attention to detail and clarity in written outputs.
  • Empathetic communicator across clinicians, vendors, and executives.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, workflow observations, and surveys to gather clinical, operational, and technical requirements.
  • Create and maintain the Requirements Registry and Workflow Maps for clinical trial screening.
  • Lead Build-vs-Buy analysis, including structured comparisons of commercial solutions, in-house development options, and hybrid models.
  • Evaluate software products and vendors against defined requirements: assess features, pricing models, total cost of ownership (TCO), scalability, and vendor maturity.
  • Facilitate use case prioritization with stakeholders using frameworks such as MoSCoW and feasibility/impact mapping.
  • Contribute to roadmap development by identifying sequencing of solution capabilities, pilots, and long-term integration milestones.
  • Assist in drafting executive deliverables including scorecards, capability gap analysis, and readout presentations.
  • Support client workshops and internal reviews with clear documentation and synthesis of findings.
  • Support the design and delivery of stakeholder workshops to validate workflows, use cases, and technology options.
  • Maintain alignment between requirements, use cases, and roadmap recommendations.
  • Help educate clients on how AI-enabled tools differ from traditional IT platforms.
  • Draft key portions of executive readout decks and support partner-led presentations.
