Requirements:
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in database development and administration.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL for PostgreSQL, MySQL / MariaDB, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle Database.
- Working knowledge of NoSQL technologies including MongoDB, Apache Cassandra, and Redis.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and database internals.
- Experience with ETL processes, data migration, and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Certifications in relevant database technologies (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, MongoDB Certified Developer) are a plus.
- Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes) is a bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement efficient, scalable, and secure database solutions.
- Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions across multiple RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
- Perform database performance tuning and optimization for large-scale systems.
- Collaborate with application developers and DevOps teams to integrate databases with application services.
- Conduct data modeling and normalization to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for database structures, procedures, and processes.
- Implement database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Migrate and synchronize data across heterogeneous database systems when needed.
- Stay current with database trends and emerging technologies to ensure best practices.
