Database Developer (Onsite, Lahore, PKR Salary)

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in database development and administration.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL for PostgreSQL, MySQL / MariaDB, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle Database.
• Working knowledge of NoSQL technologies including MongoDB, Apache Cassandra, and Redis.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and database internals.
• Experience with ETL processes, data migration, and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Certifications in relevant database technologies (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, MongoDB Certified Developer) are a plus.
• Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes) is a bonus.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement efficient, scalable, and secure database solutions.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions across multiple RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
• Perform database performance tuning and optimization for large-scale systems.
• Collaborate with application developers and DevOps teams to integrate databases with application services.
• Conduct data modeling and normalization to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for database structures, procedures, and processes.
• Implement database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Migrate and synchronize data across heterogeneous database systems when needed.
• Stay current with database trends and emerging technologies to ensure best practices.
