Principal Teradata Architect (Remote, Anywhere in Pakistan, USD Salary)

Requirements:

• 8+ years in Data Warehousing, with 5+ years specifically in Teradata Vantage or 16.x/17.x environments.
• Mastery of Teradata-specific SQL extensions, BTEQ scripting, and stored procedures
• Hands-on experience with Teradata Studio, Viewpoint, and BAR (Backup, Archive, and Restore) solutions.
• Understanding of data classification and residency requirements relevant to the KSA public sector.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design of complex relational and dimensional data models (Star/Snowflake) tailored for government-level KPIs and statistics. 
• Perform advanced performance tuning using TASM (Teradata Active System Management) and analyze "Explain" plans to eliminate processing bottlenecks. 
• Design and implement Teradata QueryGrid fabrics to enable cross-platform analytics between Teradata and Hadoop (Hive/HDFS).
• Expertise in TDCH (Teradata Connector for Hadoop) for high-speed, bi-directional data movement.
• Ability to architect "Federated Queries" that minimize data egress from the Hadoop environment.
• Direct the development of high-speed data loading scripts using TPT (Teradata Parallel Transporter), FastLoad, and MultiLoad.
• Ensure the warehouse architecture supports Regulatory Technology (RegTech) indicators, focusing on data accuracy and auditability.
