Backend Engineer - Blockchain & Fintech (Remote, Lahore, USD Salary)

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on Node.js.
• Proven experience designing and building scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs.
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Solid understanding of software development best practices, including version control (Git), CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for FinTech, blockchain, and Web3 technologies.
• Experience with cryptocurrency exchanges or blockchain integration.
• Familiarity with security best practices in FinTech applications.
• Experience with Docker and Serverless Stack.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable, secure, and performant backend services using Node.js.
• Work with PostgreSQL databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Implement and maintain robust APIs for seamless integration with our React frontend and external services.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to the architectural design and technical roadmap of our backend systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of our services.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in Node.js, FinTech, and Web3.
