Integration Engineer - EHR Data Extraction (Remote, Anywhere in Pakistan, USD Salary)

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in EHR data integration and extraction.
• Hands-on experience with Athena integration (required); Epic and eClinicalWorks knowledge is a plus.
• Strong understanding of FHIR, HL7, and HIPAA standards.
• Skilled in bulk CSV extraction and incremental data syncs.
• Experience with managed Airbyte or similar integration tools.
• Practical knowledge of authentication mechanisms, rate limits, and ensuring reliable, repeatable data pulls.
• Familiarity with API integration, error handling, and monitoring data pipelines.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Data Engineer to feed data into the warehouse/lakehouse.
• Accelerate data extraction during Proof of Value (PoV) setup.
• Build and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable extraction processes.
• Monitor integration jobs, troubleshoot failures, and ensure data integrity.
• Document workflows and support hand-offs for production deployment.
