Our Client is a leading Construction & Development Company Based in Muscat Oman
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Welding/QC inspector with specialization in chillers, electro-mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of HVAC systems including large tonnage chillers, air handling units, VAVs, cold room chiller units and related control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with building codes and environmental regulations
Conduct site inspections and assessments
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers
Oversee installation and commissioning of HVAC systems
Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC system issues
Provide technical support during construction phases
Develop energy-efficient and sustainable HVAC solutions
Manage project timelines and budgets
Review and interpret welding procedures, drawings, codes, and specifications (AWS, ASME, ISO, API, etc.).
Conduct visual inspections of welds to identify defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut, and incomplete fusion.
Verify materials, consumables, and equipment used in welding to ensure compliance with project standards.
Monitor pre-welding, welding, and post-welding activities to ensure adherence to approved procedures.
Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) coordination and review results (RT, UT, MT, PT, etc.).
Maintain inspection records, prepare reports, and document quality assurance findings.
Ensure welders are qualified and their performance is in compliance with project and code requirements.
Liaise with project engineers, quality managers, and contractors regarding welding quality issues.
Enforce health, safety, and environmental policies during welding activities.
Recommend corrective actions and follow up on non-conformities.
Required Qualifications:
BE in Mechanical Engineering
Certification of CSWIP 3.1 mandatory
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in HVAC system installation.
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and control schematics.
Work Environment:
This role involves working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and occasionally at heights
May require working in varying temperature conditions.
Willingness to travel or be on-call, if required.
Experience: 2+ years
Timings:
Saturday to Thursday: 8:00 A.M 5:00 PM
Location: Anywhere from India, Pakistan and Oman
