About the Company:
Hiring for one of the largest diversified family business groups in the Middle East.
PURPOSE:
This role involves overseeing the administration, management, security, and optimization of our enterprise databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and compliance. Maintain and administration of:
1.OCI - Tenancy Operations and Management include setup, integrations and cost management
2. Oracle EBS - Apps DBA
3. Oracle Cloud FCCS/ Hyperion - (On-prem and SaaS services)
4. HCM
5. PaaS and SaaS Application management on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
6. Core DBA skills on Unix/ Linux Platforms
The role is also accountable for supporting designing and implementing Oracle / SQL related products both in on premise and cloud.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Strategic:
- Supporting the team in delivery of high-quality products within committed time frames.
- Working with Oracle primarily and Microsoft support on security releases with the help of technical team and ensuring all objects are implemented together.
- Providing operational reports, including current usage of licenses, plan for code optimization, system utilization reports.
- Contribute to and maintain system standards.
- Consult with IT and security staff to ensure that security is factored into the evaluation and configuration of system.
- Coordinate the implementation of technical controls to support and enforce defined security policies.
- Design recommend or plan the implementation of new or updated information and analyze its impact on the existing environment.
- Provide technical expertise for the maintenance and administration of Database related security tools.
- Ensuring Database security through user permissions and access controls.
Operational:
- Work and ensuring all deliverables are completed
- Ensure complete understanding of the security and license estimate and project scope
- Collaborate on the creation of application requirements and fit/gap analysis.
- Work on security, access and administration of various Oracle / SQL Server environments across different applications.
- Ensure security access and integration delivery at program level.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all resources, system key processes, reviewing system and application logs and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
- Perform regular monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
- Support and coordinate operational components of incident management, including detection, response, and reporting.
- Provide after-hours support for database related emergencies as well as occasional weekend maintenance.
- Develop and implement security and access related plans, risk assessments and contingency plans.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
People Management:
- Co-ordinate with development and functional teams to ensure the deployments are done as per standards.
- Work with security administrator on upcoming additional features and guiding with best practices on Oracle/SQL related application.
- Maintain a KDB comprising a technical reference library, security advisories and alerts, information on security trends and practices.
- Work with management on Oracle / SQL related projects and provide high quality solutions for other IT projects.
- Ability to manage a team of Database administrators and techno-functional consultants.
Product & Process Improvement:
- Design the solution by following best practices and ensuring a good quality of customization delivery.
- Fully utilizes Oracle Technology and additional tools.
- Support and work with management to automated approach for system administration tasks.
- Identify opportunities for effective hosting of business applications to provide scalable system capable of supporting geographically diverse workforce.
- Support on day-to-day activities of threat and vulnerability management, identify risk tolerances, recommend treatment plans, and communicate information about residual risk.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science
- Bachelor's Degree in Any field or Diploma in Computer Science
Knowledge & Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of ORACLE CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE including creation, operations and management, backup, cost optimization, support of the environment.
- Excellent DBA skills and experience on Oracle Autonomous Database, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platforms and on prem environments on Unix.
- Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle FCCS/ Hyperion Application.
- Understand and implement oracle related databases and applications. Security configurations and control.
- Ability to organize, prioritize estimate and deliver tasks meeting deadline.
- Evaluate and advise the right tools and system for any future development.
- Deploying and managing Oracle databases and services on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address complex database issues.
- Waterfall, Agile methodologies.
