Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with senior management to develop financial strategies for the organization. You are comfortable handling large amounts of data, acting as a business partner, decision maker, and providing regular financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Perform journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and financial reports.
    • Ensure compliance with ASPE accounting standards.
    • Perform budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
    • Run payroll processing.
    • Supervise bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Monitor the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
    • Perform month-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Assist with preparation and filing of:
    • GST/HST returns
    • Corporate income tax support (T2 schedules)
    • Payroll remittances (CPP, EI, Income Tax)
    • Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
    • Review work performed by accounting clerks and junior accountants.
    • Provide training and performance feedback.
    • Assign and monitor tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
    • Edit documents for Loan proposes
    • Experience
    • 3 to 5 years of accounting experience
    • Technical Skills
    • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage 50, SAP, Wave
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
    • Knowledge of GST/HST, payroll compliance, and financial reporting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally ERP, or SAP.

  • Good skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reports.

  • Understanding of tax regulations such as Goods and Services Tax (GST) or other local taxes.

  • Ability to prepare financial statements, invoices, and bank reconciliations.

  • Strong attention to detail and numerical skills.

  • Good communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work with accounts payable and accounts receivable

Work Days: Monday- Friday
