About the Role
As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Kumorai, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our applications. You will work closely with development and product teams to define test strategies, identify bugs, and maintain automated test frameworks This role is ideal for individuals passionate about testing and delivering high-quality software in a collaborative environment.
Key Areas of Focus:
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Hands-on experience with Cypress & Playwright
Familiarity with Agile & DevOps practices
Writing and executing detailed, comprehensive test plans and test cases
Automation testing and script maintenance
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy and Planning:Define and document detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
Automation and Tools:Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Cypress and Playwright..Maintain and enhance automation frameworks.
Quality and Collaboration: Ensure application quality, performance, and scalability through effective test practices.Identify, record, and track bugs and assist in troubleshooting.
Agile and DevOps: Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Mentorship and Leadership:Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and team growth. Lead by example in testing practices, test design, and the implementation of best practices across the SQA team.
Performance Tuning and Optimization: Continuously analyze and optimize SQA testing systems for performance and scalability, ensuring efficient resource utilization. Implement monitoring and diagnostic tools to ensure SQA testing systems remain robust under heavy load and during production.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in Software Quality Assurance technologies, and drive their adoption.Advocate for and implement process improvements to enhance the development lifecycle and SQA overall processes.

Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Location: Remote from Karachi
Working Hours: Flexible Hours ( 40hrs per week)
