Hiring Linux & OpenStack Engineer - Islamabad Onsite

Client Company Introduction:

The company is a trusted leading developer of Web, Mobile, and Telecom related applications and solutions in the Middle East and Pakistan.

Job Description:

1. Responsible for deploying and configuring preferable Red Hat OpenStack Platform 17.x on RHEL9 in secure, isolated (air-gapped) environments.

2. The engineer will manage the complete lifecycle including OS setup, image preparation, controller and compute node configuration, and core OpenStack services like Neutron (networking), Nova (compute), Keystone (identity), Glance (images), and Cinder (block storage)

3. This role requires implementing high availability (HA), setting up disaster recovery (DR) infrastructure, and ensuring reliable inter-service communication.

4. Automation via CLI or Ansible, proper network design, and secure integrations (e.g., LDAP, DNS) are essential.

5. Optional but beneficial tasks include OS hardening and compliance configurations.

Key Skills:

1. RHEL9, RHOSP 17.x, Neutron, Nova, Keystone, Glance, Cinder, Heat templates, TripleO, Ironic, Horizon, RabbitMQ, SELinux, SSL/TLS, Identity & Access Management, API integrations.

2. LDAP, DNS, and NTP integration

3. Security hardening (SELinux, firewall)

4. Understanding of Identity & Access Mgmt, DNS zones, LDAP trees

5. Logging & telemetry tools such as Prometheus, fluentd etc.

6.Can configured persistent storage

Location: Islamabad Onsite

Work Timings: Mon - Fri 9AM- 6PM

Experience: 5 Years or above
