Accountant - Onsite - Lahore

Job Purpose

To manage the companys financial records, ensure accuracy in accounting processes, and support financial decision-making through timely reporting, compliance, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update general ledger accounts, journal entries, and financial statements
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws, financial regulations, and internal policies
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes
• Monitor and manage cash flow and petty cash
• Maintain accurate records of assets, liabilities, income, and expenses
• Support payroll processing and employee reimbursements
• Assist in improving financial procedures and internal controls
• Use accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) for data entry and reporting

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (Masters or ACCA/CA/CPA preferred)
• 45 years of relevant accounting experience
• Experience in financial industry is a plus
• Familiarity with local tax laws and financial reporting standard
