About the Job: We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage road and bridge projects in a lead role, typically involving medium- to large-scale projects of high complexity and value. The successful candidate will lead their discipline within multidisciplinary design and delivery teams, overseeing projects from initial conception through detailed design, tendering, and construction delivery on site. Responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within approved budgets, and in accordance with quality expectations. This role includes ensuring cost efficiency, preparing accurate budgets and estimates, and maintaining robust financial control throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Responsibilities.

• Estimating quantity as per Approved for Construction drawings based on actual onsite change in quantity as per site conditions.
• Coordinate with site construction team and Engineering department to finalize and certify the actual physical work done at site to facilitate subcontractor payments.
  
• Review of scope of work, project Preamble, Drawings and Specifications.
• Ensure quantity take off QS Team are within the company standards and project requirements and scheduled Scope are available in the system for Monitoring.
• Monitoring of field design changes as per site conditions and STQ and processing of Subcontractor work payments.
• Monitoring quantity of material received by material controller, issued, and used at site by subcontractor to facilitate weekly progress.
• Assessment of change work Orders and Variations in line with the Contract of Agreement.
• Evaluation of Progress Measurement submitted by QS and generating reports to
  Companys Main system for progress Measurement and Accounting.
  
• Review of Tender Documents based on the project requirements.
• Evaluation of Material Specification and Prices against Project Specifications.
  
  
• Senior Quantity Surveyor - Road and Bridge Construction in Libya
• Monitoring projects with respect to budgeted cost, demand forecasts, time over-runs to ensure timely execution of projects.
  

Requirements.

• Education: Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a QS related field.
• Experience: 10-15 years of experience managing large-scale road and bridge construction projects, including oversight of QC/QA, safety compliance, and budget control.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in cost estimation software, knowledge of construction contracts, familiarity with quantity surveying tools, expertise in financial modeling, and experience with project management software.
• Adaptability: Ability to work in challenging environments, deliver results under pressure, and travel within Libya as needed. Communication: Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage.
