Our client is a UK-based B2B, product-focused organization working on highly specialized solutions.

Role Overview

The Senior Sales Growth Lead is a strategic commercial role focused on enabling our sales teams to be more effective.

Rather than carrying an individual sales target, you will work alongside our New Business and Existing Business teams to help identify opportunities, improve customer engagement, coordinate personalized outreach, strengthen account planning and increase revenue.

You will become a trusted commercial partner to the sales teams, helping them make better use of modern CRM platforms, AI and commercial technologies to improve productivity and customer outcomes.

The role also acts as the bridge between Sales, CRM Operations, Digital Marketing and Product teams, ensuring commercial initiatives are coordinated and delivered successfully.

This is not a traditional marketing role, CRM administration role or sales administration role. It is a commercially focused position for someone who enjoys helping sales teams succeed through better processes, technology, insight and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Growth

  • Partner with the New Business and Existing Business teams to improve sales effectiveness and revenue growth.

  • Support the development and execution of account growth strategies.

  • Help identify opportunities to increase pipeline, customer engagement and revenue.

  • Recommend improvements that enhance commercial performance across the business.

  • Work closely with sales teams to improve planning, execution and follow-up activities.

Sales Enablement

  • Support sales teams with personalized customer engagement.

  • Coordinate one-to-one customer outreach using CRM and commercial engagement platforms.

  • Help prepare account managers for customer meetings through research, account insights and opportunity identification.

  • Develop commercial playbooks, templates and best practices.

  • Coach and support sales teams in making effective use of CRM platforms, AI and commercial technologies.

  • Promote consistent commercial processes and ways of working.

  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve sales productivity.

Strategic Account Development

  • Research strategic prospects and existing customers.

  • Build detailed account profiles.

  • Identify decision-makers, buying committees and key stakeholders.

  • Monitor organizational changes, industry trends and buying signals.

  • Identify upsell, cross-sell and account expansion opportunities.

  • Produce customer briefings and commercial insights that support successful sales engagements.

Commercial Intelligence & Prospecting

  • Build and maintain target account lists.

  • Research organizations using modern sales intelligence platforms.

  • Identify potential prospects and decision-makers.

  • Support account-based prospecting initiatives.

  • Recommend improvements to prospecting strategies and customer engagement approaches.

  • Share market and competitor insights with commercial teams.

Commercial Operations

  • Act as the commercial link between Sales, CRM Operations, Product and Digital Marketing.

  • Gather business requirements from commercial teams.

  • Work with CRM Operations to improve commercial workflows, automation and processes.

  • Coordinate the delivery of commercial initiatives across departments.

  • Test and validate new commercial processes and tools before rollout.

  • Help ensure commercial teams receive timely support and guidance.

AI & Commercial Technology

  • Champion the use of AI and modern commercial technology to improve sales effectiveness.

  • Use AI to research organisations, prepare customer briefings and personalise customer communications.

  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive commercial activities.

  • Evaluate new technologies that improve prospecting, customer engagement and account management.

  • Help commercial teams adopt new tools and best practices.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a commercial enablement, sales enablement, account growth, business development, revenue operations or similar B2B commercial role.

  • Experience supporting enterprise or consultative sales teams.

  • Strong understanding of B2B sales processes and customer engagement.

  • Experience working closely with Account Managers, Business Development Managers or Account Executives.

  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.

  • Experience using modern CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho CRM or similar.

  • Experience coordinating personalized customer engagement and account-based sales activities.

  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and spoken English.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to influence and work effectively across multiple business functions.

  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot or similar to improve commercial productivity.

  • Establish better processes for account planning, prospect research and personalised customer engagement.

  • Strengthen collaboration between Sales, CRM Operations, Product and Digital Marketing.

  • Introduce practical improvements that increase commercial productivity.

  • Demonstrate measurable improvements in pipeline quality, customer engagement and revenue growth.
