Sr. Backend Engineer (NodeJS/Postgresql)

We're hiring a Senior Backend Engineer - Remote.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Node.js Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing scalable backend solutions, designing and implementing APIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize server-side applications using Node.js.
  

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.
  

• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices.
  

• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams.
  

• Ensure application security, performance, and responsiveness.
  

• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
  

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  

• Proven experience as a Node.js Developer.
  

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
  

• Experience with Express.js or other Node.js frameworks.
  

• Familiarity with databases (PostgreSQL).
  

• Understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
  

• Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
  

• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  

• Basic understanding of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
  

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an advantage.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD).
  

• Knowledge of message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
  

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
