Senior PV Design Engineer

Position: Senior PV Design Engineer (Utility-Scale Solar)
Location: EU countries, remote (EU-based candidates only)
Work format: Freelance / B2B Contract / On-demand

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Senior PV Design Engineer to join international utility-scale solar projects for a flexible, project-based collaboration.

To support the growing project pipeline of our Partner, we are looking for a Senior PV Design Engineer who can independently contribute to the full design lifecycle of utility-scale solar projects and support technical excellence across multiple project stages in different EU countries, the UK and the MENA region.

Scope of Work:

• Develop and optimise PV system designs for ground-mounted utility-scale solar projects
• Perform detailed modelling and simulations to support project development
• Analyse technical documentation and propose design improvements
• Support technical due diligence processes
• Contribute to performance optimisation of PV systems
• Collaborate with engineering teams on:
  - Layout design
  - Electrical systems
  - Overall system performance

Core Technical Requirements:

• PVcase GM
• PVsyst
• Experience with ground-mounted PV systems
• Electrical & Modelling (LV/MV AC systems):
  - ETAP or EA-PSM
  - Earthing design
  - Protection systems
  - AutoCAD

Must-Have Experience:

• Proven track record in utility-scale solar PV design
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and deliver results remotely

Nice-to-Have (Advantages):

• Experience working on international solar projects
• Exposure to technical due diligence or lender's engineering
• Familiarity with performance optimisation / yield improvement
• Broader understanding of grid integration or BESS
• Experience collaborating in multinational / distributed teams
