This is a great opportunity for someone who is ready to take on the role of Performance Engineer, driving the optimization of the systems with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability. Your expertise in identifying and resolving system bottlenecks will be crucial to maintaining smooth and efficient operations, especially in the complex environment of card payment processing.

Key Responsibilities:

Performance Testing & Analysis

<> Plan and run performance tests (load, stress, capacity, scalability, endurance) using tools like JMeter (preferred), LoadRunner, and Gatling.

<> Analyze logs and test data to find bottlenecks and performance issues.

<> Create clear reports with improvement suggestions.


Optimization & Troubleshooting

<> Work with Dev, QA, Infra, and Ops teams to fix performance problems fast.

<> Tune scripts, test cases, and automation; help improve app code, DB queries, and system configs.

<> Support architectural tuning for software, hardware, DBs, and networks.

Monitoring & Benchmarking

<> Set up performance monitoring tools and dashboards with IT.

<> Define benchmarks, track KPIs, and ensure system stability and transparency.

Architecture & Scalability

<> Collaborate with Architecture/Platform teams to build scalable systems.

<> Help with infra capacity planning for future growth.

<> Review APIs and 3rd-party tools for performance risks.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

<> Keep test plans, results, and fixes well-documented.

<> Coach dev teams on performance best practices.

Your Background:

<> At least 5 years of experience in performance and automation testing roles.

<> Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

<> Proficient with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, Neoload, OctoPerf, or equivalents.

<> Experience in programming or scripting languages like Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.

<> Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset.

<> Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

<> Proven ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and external partners.

<> Fluent in English.


Nice to Have:

<> Experience with APM tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or New Relic

<> Strong SQL skills and DB tuning (indexing, query optimization, execution plans)

<> Familiar with Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or Splunk for monitoring

<> Solid grasp of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architecture

<> Skilled in diagnosing network latency, I/O, and resource bottlenecks

<> Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps) and integrating performance tests

<> Hands-on with GCP (preferred), AWS, or Azure; plus Kubernetes and Docker

<> Certifications in performance or cloud tech are a plus

<> Understands performance-related security concerns

<> Confident, reliable, and able to lead and earn trust across teams
