COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Our client, a Karachi-based, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulated Electronic Money Institution (EMI), seeks to appoint an experienced professional for the following role
As a Product Manager Card Issuance, you will lead the strategy, development, and lifecycle of companys card portfolio, delivering innovative, market-aligned products that drive growth and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Development
Define and execute the card issuance roadmap in line with company goals and customer needs. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and develop business cases, including value propositions, target segments, and revenue projections
- Lifecycle Management
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of card products, ensuring ongoing competitiveness, compliance, and customer relevance. Monitor product performance, analyze feedback, and implement improvements based on evolving market trends
- Customer Experience & Innovation
Champion user-centric design and seamless customer journeys. Leverage feedback, usability testing, and emerging technologies to deliver standout features including contactless payments, personalization, and digital-first experiences
- Cross-Functional & External Collaboration
Work closely with operations, IT, compliance, and marketing teams to ensure smooth delivery and support of card products. Liaise with external partners including card schemes, vendors, and regulators to align on industry standards and co-develop innovative solutions
- Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure all card products meet SBP and other regulatory requirements. Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to proactively identify and mitigate product risks across the card portfolio
Education
- Minimum 16 years of education, preferably a Masters degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field from an HEC-recognized or equivalent foreign institution.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of product management experience in the banking or fintech sector, with a strong focus on digital financial products
- Proven experience in card issuance, ideally within a fintech or banking environment, is essential
- Hands-on experience working with card schemes (e.g., Visa, Mastercard) and a solid understanding of their operational and compliance frameworks
- Strong grasp of card management systems, digital banking platforms, and emerging payment technologies such as tokenization, contactless, and virtual cards

Age
