Company Overview: Our Client, a Karachi based company, seeks to appoint experienced professionals for the following role:
Job Role
The role is responsible for assuring the quality of local and imported petroleum products across receipt, storage, and transportation operations, in compliance with statutory, regulatory, and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and provide strategic direction to the Quality Assurance Department.
- Oversee and strengthen the QA Management System framework.
- Develop long-term QA strategies aligned with organizational and regulatory objectives.
- Promote a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Develop, review, and update QA policies, guidelines, and SOPs.
- Design and implement structured audit and inspection programs.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, ASTM/IP standards, and internal policies.
- Monitor QA KPIs and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure quality assurance of local and imported petroleum products during receipt, storage, and transportation.
- Oversee sampling, testing, and certification in line with applicable standards.
- Identify and mitigate technical quality issues and risks.
- Safeguard product integrity across the supply chain.
- Liaise with Ministry, OGRA, OCAC, and other relevant stakeholders on quality matters.
- Ensure timely regulatory reporting and compliance submissions.
- Represent the organization during audits and regulatory inspections.
- Lead QA training, learning, and communication initiatives.
- Drive awareness of quality standards and regulatory updates across departments.
- Initiate system improvements based on audits, performance analysis, and industry trends.
- Benchmark product testing methodologies against global best practices.
- Develop and manage the QA departmental budget effectively.
- Optimize resource allocation to achieve departmental objectives.
- Support adoption of modern testing methodologies and quality tools.
- Provide technical guidance on product specifications and compliance standards.
- Recommend practical, risk-based solutions to senior management.
Education
- Minimum 16 years of education in Chemistry / Chemical Sciences or M. Sc/ M.Phil. / Ph.D. duly recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and/or equivalent foreign degree.
- Additional qualification in Business Administration will be preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 8-10 years of professional experience, preferably in a large national/multinational organization with at least 5-7 years of related functional experience in a similar role at an equivalent position.
Requirements
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to create and deliver engaging presentations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
Age
- The candidate should preferably be not more than 45 years of age as of the last date of submission of application.
