Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Hiab driver/operator, particularly with a 50-ton capacity truck.
Requirements
- Valid commercial drivers license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating heavy vehicles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness (Dover test).
- Proven experience as a Hiab driver operator, particularly with a 50-ton capacity truck.
- Exceptional driving skills and thorough knowledge of road safety regulations.
- Proficiency in operating a Hiab crane and handling heavy loads with precision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail and a focus on safety.
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate a Hiab truck with a lifting capacity of up to 50 tons to transport heavy loads to designated locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the Hiab truck to ensure safe operation and compliance with regulations.
- Secure loads properly on the truck using appropriate equipment and techniques to prevent shifting during transportation.
- Operate the Hiab crane with precision to lift and position heavy loads as required.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving and operating the Hiab truck.
- Follow established routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of loads.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including load information, mileage, and any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.
- Perform routine maintenance on the Hiab truck and crane to ensure proper functioning and longevity.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Assist other team members as needed and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
