About the job Head of Finance
Job Purpose:
This position will be responsible for managing the Shared Service Operational Finance and oversee day to day activities ensuring a quality service is delivered in each area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creation of high performing team, responsible for attraction and retention of team members with the right skills and experience.
- Leadership and management of the team, responsible for inspiring, leading and coaching team members, setting objectives and holding regular performance reviews.
- Ensure team members remain competent in their roles, actively assess performance, identifying knowledge gaps and putting plans in place to rectify any underperformance/operational issues.
- Lead the documenting of processes and procedures working closely with UK Well teams to ensure task/activity accuracy.
- Responsible for ensuring all data security procedures are followed, with regular checking and reporting.
- Early escalation of any risk or issues directly to Client CFO.
- Work closely with Client stakeholders to agree services levels and KPIs and ensure these are understood and delivered upon across the teams.
- Accountable for the delivery of several critical month end activities/processes and ensuring these are delivered on time in line with service level agreements.
- Responsible for active engagement with UK teams, creating opportunities for knowledge sharing and collaboration, ensuring business/teams are aware of changes and adequately prepared.
- Responsible to engaging with suppliers and 3rd Party vendors, ensuring clear communication at all times.
- Responsible for the management of business continuity plans across all areas, ensure effectively communication across the teams and to stakeholder in the UK.
- Create a control environment focused on processes with owners with controls in the right places so that risks are effectively managed and there are warning flags when things are moving adversely.
Requirements
- Proven track record of working in a shared service environment and delivering exception service achieving SLAs and KPIs.
- Proven leadership skills, capable of leading and directing large teams and managing complexity.
- Experience of developing and communicating management information.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and data analysis skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to structure, plan, control and coordinate a complex set of tasks.
- Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to successfully communicate with people at all levels.
- Comfortable to work from 01p.m to 10p.m
Experience and Qualification
- CA/ACCA
- 10 to 12 years of relevant experience preferably in shared service environment.
