Position: Port Load Master
Location: Karachi
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in transportation management, logistics, project management, or similar preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics/ transportation operations, preferably in port handling or marine cargo operations.

Responsibilities
- The Load Master will be responsible for overseeing the loading and unloading of cargo at the port and/ or other dispatch/ storage locations/ warehouse(s).
- Ensure that all procedures are carried out safely and efficiently.
- Work closely with the clearing agent and Logistics Service Provider(s), port authorities, and other stakeholders to coordinate the process.
- Be responsible for ensuring that all relevant regulations and safety standards are adhered to.
- Manage the loading and unloading of cargo using cranes, conveyor belts, or other equipment at the port.
- Verify cargo quantities and maintain accurate recordkeeping throughout the operation.
- Liaison with the transport team to ensure the right sort of vehicle is placed for the proper dimensions and type of cargo.
- Liaison with the Clearing agent to ensure all documentation is in place to clear the cargo from the port.
- Liaison with the Import/ Export & Clearance team to ensure that the vessel arrival is on time and that all documentation related to vessel berthing is in place.
- Liaison with stevedore to ensure that cargo operations are being handled smoothly and the right equipment is available for the cargo handling at the port.
- Report any cargo damage, discrepancies, or safety incidents to the Transportation team and recommend corrective actions.
