About the job HEAD - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
COMPANY OVERVIEW
A newly established clean energy company seeks to appoint an experienced and seasoned Head - Business Development to lead the B2B business development team, working closely with executive leadership
The position of Head of Business Development will report to Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for originating leads via his/her industry B2B relationships to offer integrated green-energy solutions
The successful candidate will be accountable for the entire B2B commercial process, from origination, proposal, negotiations, & contract discussions, working closely with other functions of the Company
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for identifying green energy captive power generation opportunities across industry, including but not limited to negotiating contracts including onshore and offshore wind, solar and battery storage projects
- Responsible for cultivating project pipeline via extensive B2B C-Level / Executive relationships & engagements across Industry to forecast potential business accurately
- Responsible for ensuring accurate financial viability via in-depth understanding of business financial models & renewable metrics to ensure profitability
- Ability to define project scope, budget estimation, execution strategies, & other deliverables that support business goals in -collaboration with stakeholders and management
- Ability to refine B2B & B2G strategies for the development of energy projects in Solar, Onshore and Offshore Wind, Battery Energy Storage and other renewables with evolving technology & regulations
- Establish relationships with all stakeholders including potential customers, OEMs, EPC contractors, government and regulatory parties
- Responsible for proposals delivery, requirements documentations and completion of legal documents with project stakeholders
- Advise on deals structures; develop end to end process to effectively and efficiently close deals
- Responsible for staying abreast on industry trends, publications and reports that provide in-depth analysis, data, and forecasts for renewable energy sector
- Create strong market presence and increase awareness of Company's renewables
Education
- Minimum 16 years of education preferably masters from a renowned HEC recognized university or institution/equivalent foreign degree holder preferably in, Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience preferably in a large national/multinational organization in a similar role at an equivalent position or in one level below position.
Requirements
- Experience in renewable industry is a must, especially in energy sale via Power Purchase Agreements (PPA)
- Proven track record of delivery of renewable projects in Commercial & Industry is preferred
- Excellent industry and regulatory knowledge to support critical thinking and decision making Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams
- High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and proactively
- Excellent organizational, strategic, planning and implementing skills
- Ability to travel as per requirement
Age
- The candidate should be preferably not more than 45 years of age as of last date of submission of application.
