Logistics Officer
About the job Logistics Officer
Our client, an international company providing integrated engineering, construction, and mining services, is seeking to hire a Logistics Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Support coordination and interface among logistics functions, including procurement, transportation, surveyors, insurance, and warehousing, to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective support for the mobilization of heavy equipment and materials.
- Coordinate with customers to ensure logistics objectives, priorities, and schedules are met and effectively communicated to management.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable company directives, policies, and procedures.
- Track shipments from the issuance of the Purchase Order (PO) through to final delivery at the destination.
Requirements:
- Education: Diploma degree in any discipline
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in logistics
- Solid understanding of warehouse and inventory control, as well as supply chain management
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Avantis, SAP, or JD Edwards) is an advantage, though not essential
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong understanding of EMS (Environmental Management System)
- Familiar with plant and equipment operations and able to operate them when required
- Capable of working effectively under high pressure
- Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is an advantage
