About the job JUNIOR MANAGEMENT POSITION - TRANSACTION MONITORING
COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Our client, a Karachi-based, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulated Electronic Money Institution (EMI), seeks to appoint an experienced professional for the following role.
Job Role
The incumbent will be responsible of preventing financial crime by monitoring transactions, customer behaviour patterns, and operational processes. This role ensures strict adherence to SBP AML/CFT regulations, FATF standards, and internal risk policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily monitoring of wallet transactions using AML screening tools and risk systems.
- Review alerts, investigate unusual/suspicious activities, and ensure timely escalation to MLRO. (Manager Money Laundering & Reporting)
- Assess customer onboarding and KYC profiles for potential compliance risks.
- Assist in filing Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) to SBP as per regulatory timelines.
- Identify emerging typologies and enhance monitoring scenarios, thresholds, and risk scoring.
- Maintain comprehensive and secure documentation for regulatory audit purposes.
- Collaborate with Operations, Product, and Customer Service teams in addressing compliance-related cases
- Support internal compliance training initiatives and awareness programs.
- Track compliance KPIs and contribute to regulatory reporting and dashboards.
- Ensure alignment with SBP Regulations, AML Act 2010, Sanctions Lists, and FATF guidance.
Education
- Minimum 16 years of education, preferably a Masters degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Risk Management or a related field from an HEC-recognized or equivalent foreign institution.
Experience
- Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience, preferably in a large national/multinational organization with at least 1-2 years of related functional experience in a similar role at an equivalent position.
- Experience in a bank, EMI, fintech, or regulated financial institution growth functions is preferred.
Requirements
- Good understanding of SBP regulatory regime (AML/CFT Guidelines, PSD Regulations, BFS Act, AML Act).
- Hands-on experience with AML solutions, watchlists, screening tools, and case management systems.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and documentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Familiarity with digital onboarding, e-KYC, and mobile-wallet AML risk control.
Age
The candidate should preferably be not more than 33 years of age as of last date of submission of application.
