Qualification

• Bachelors degree in engineering, Business, Economics, or Law.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in procurement, with a focus on strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation, preferably in a mining or industrial environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing complex procurement activities and delivering cost savings.
• Hands-on experience with SAP; Ariba experience preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop insights.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Solid understanding of procurement best practices, contract law, and ethical sourcing principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing activities for complex categories, including market analysis, supplier identification, and contract negotiation.
• Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business objectives and stakeholder requirements.
• Analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize procurement value.
• Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and procurement best practices.
• Manage a portfolio of critical vendors, building strong collaborative relationships.
• Evaluate vendor performance, conduct risk assessments, and implement improvement plans.
• Negotiate contracts in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Mentor and guide junior purchasers in sourcing and vendor management best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline procurement processes.
• Support development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
• Assist the Procurement Specialist with procurement technology solutions and data analytics enhancements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and participate in cross-functional procurement initiatives.
