Qualification

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certified Crane Operator License for 70-ton crane

Experience

• Minimum 5 - 7 years experience operating large-capacity cranes in construction or industrial settings.
• Completion of a certified crane operator training program or apprenticeship.

Requirements

• Proficient in operating 70-ton cranes with strong knowledge of crane operation principles and rigging techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret load charts, blueprints, and lift plans.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness (Dover test).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Physically fit and capable of safe crane operation.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to crane operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 70-ton crane to lift and move materials, equipment, and structures safely and efficiently.
• Attach, lift, and release loads using appropriate rigging equipment, ensuring proper securing and balance.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections of the crane and rigging equipment to identify defects or hazards.
• Follow safety protocols, including signalling and maintaining clear work areas to prevent accidents.
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors, signallers, and team members during lifting operations.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, inspection, and minor repairs on the crane.
• Maintain accurate records of crane operation, maintenance, and safety inspections.
• Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly to the maintenance department.
