Job description:
We are seeking an experienced Technical SME to support digital initiatives and niche applications for our New Zealand business units. In this role, youll collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to deliver impactful digital solutions that meet business needs and enhance client experiences.
What Youll Do
Act as the technical SME for niche digital applications in New Zealand.
Gather, document, and refine technical requirements, workflows, and acceptance
criteria.
Create technical artifacts such as flow diagrams, UI mock-ups, and specifications.
Work with Agile teams and vendors to validate and test requirements.
Collaborate with architects and product managers to align technical delivery.
Support teams with escalations, deployments, and end-user training.
Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with security standards.
Contribute to testing, deployments, and knowledge sharing across APAC teams.
What Were Looking For
3+ years experience as a Technical Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Software Developer.
Strong background in SDLC, API integrations, and data mapping.
Proven ability to create specifications, flow charts, and screen designs.
Skilled with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and Agile methodologies.
Hands-on experience with:
Databases: MongoDB, Microsoft SQL
Programming: Java, C#, JavaScript
Cloud: Azure or AWS
Excellent communication skills to work with global, virtual teams.
Analytical mindset with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Nice to Have
Experience in insurance or financial services.
Interest in UI/UX and digital customer experiences.
Knowledge of integration patterns and DevOps environments.
