About the job Scrum Master
The Scrum Master plays a pivotal role in fostering Agile best practices and ensuring the smooth execution of Scrum ceremonies and deliverables. This role is responsible for coaching the team, facilitating key Scrum processes, removing impediments, and serving as a bridge between the Scrum team and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Agile Coaching & Facilitation
- Serve as a coach and mentor to Scrum team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and Agile maturity.
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies to ensure timely and effective execution, including:
- Sprint Planning
- Daily Stand-Ups
- Sprint Reviews
- Sprint Retrospectives
- Backlog Grooming / Refinement
- Board administration and maintenance
2. Scrum Team Support
- Define and establish Scrum roles, responsibilities, and outcomes.
- Work closely with the Product Owner and Delivery Lead to ensure backlog items are well-prioritized and refined for upcoming sprints.
- Proactively identify and remove blockers or distractions that could hinder the teams progress.
- Act as a liaison between the Scrum team and other departments or teams across the organization.
3. Governance & Delivery Alignment
- Ensure all delivery practices comply with APAC and Global PMO standards, including relevant security policies and audit controls.
- Collaborate with the GSS (Global Security Services) team on activities such as penetration testing or risk mitigation reviews.
3. Scrum Metrics & Improvement
- Track, analyze, and report on Scrum metrics to drive transparency and inform process improvements.
- Promote Agile principles and practices across the team and wider organization.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Knowledge
- Prior experience in software development or technical roles is highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, and Scrumban.
- Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
Core Competencies
- Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams toward shared goals.
- Communication: Fluent in written and spoken English; able to communicate complex technical issues clearly to varied audiences.
- Facilitation: Skilled in facilitating meetings and Scrum events efficiently.
- Coaching & Mentoring: Strong capability in guiding team members and stakeholders through Agile practices and continuous delivery.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and maintain sprint timelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of proven experience in the IT industry.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience influencing across diverse teams and cultures.
- Prior exposure to insurable risk or regulated industries is a plus.
Work setup: Hybrid, 2-3x a month RTO

Work schedule: Day shift
