About the job Technical Analyst
We are seeking for a Technical Analyst to support changes within our niche business lines in New Zealand. You will be working on solutions that make a difference to our clients by being part of a team who live and breathe customer service.
As a Technical Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring business and customer outcomes are achieved. You will be responsible for overseeing and driving the technical aspects of New Zealand niche applications, projects and initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of solutions, while providing technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a strong communicator and possesses a deep understanding of technologies and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience as a Business Analyst (BA) or Technical Analyst in an Agile environment.
- Proficiency in writing clear and concise User Stories, including acceptance criteria.
- Hands-on experience with Jira and/or Azure DevOps for backlog and task management.
- Strong skills in SQL and PL/SQL for querying and validating data.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
Your Responsibilities
- Working with various Business / Product teams to understand the end-to-end business processes of regional digital platforms.
- To be the technical subject matter expert (SME) representing New Zealand niche applications.
- Creating technical requirements, deliverables, and acceptance criteria for New Zealand niche applications.
- Creating technical flow diagrams, UI mock-ups, etc.
- Working with the Agile Build teams / Dev teams and third-party technical teams for creating / testing and validating technical requirements.
- Working with Solution Architects and Product Managers to fill in technical requirement gaps.
- Ensure New Zealand niche applications knowledge is documented, recorded, and maintained.
- Comply and/or consult with Aon Global Security Services (GSS) on all standards.
- Support the application management and support (AMS) teams and product managers during platform issue escalations.
- Constantly seek opportunities to reduce technology dept.
- Undertake and/or facilitate specialised and general testing as required, including external stakeholders where relevant.
- Participate in deployments when new products are enhanced or added. Provide trainings when necessary.
- Participate as a valued member of a distributed team across Asia Pacific.
