About the job Data Architect
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Data Architect with strong expertise in Azure Cloud to design and build scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions. You will play a key role in developing and enhancing a global data platform that supports high-volume transactional systems, big data, and complex analytics for the healthcare and benefits domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and design of data solutions using Azure services.
- Develop and improve data lake architecture (data ingestion, storage, transformation, and consumption).
- Design scalable data models, schemas, and pipelines tailored to healthcare and benefits data.
- Implement best practices for data governance and security using tools like Microsoft Purview.
- Continuously assess and enhance existing data structures for better performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with product and business teams to align data architecture with business goals.
- Contribute to the development of data architecture standards and roadmaps.
- Guide and mentor team members to build technical expertise.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and documentation efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong experience in Azure data services:
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Azure Databricks
- Azure SQL Database
- Azure Data Lake Storage
- Microsoft Purview and related governance tools
- Experience in data modeling, data warehousing, data integration, and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of data security practices including encryption, masking, and Azure Active Directory.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and with globally distributed teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric.
- Familiarity with legal and compliance aspects of data usage.
- Experience building flexible and high-performance reporting environments.
- Strong understanding of system thinking and ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and present solutions effectively.
