Key Accountabilities:
1. Automation Center of Excellence (CoE) Execution
- Lead the operational and strategic execution of the Automation CoE.
- Drives strategic decision-making for selecting the optimal automation framework - balancing speed, flexibility, scalability, and total cost of ownership.
- Oversee the day-to-day management and operational maturity of the Automation CoE.
- Define and enforce automation development standards, solution design principles, and best practices.
- Monitor industry trends to recommend new automation technologies and practices.
2. Team Leadership and Talent Development
- Manage a team of Automation Developers and Technical Business Analysts.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, performance management, and career development pathways for the team.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on quality, speed, and innovation.
3. Automation Pipeline Management and Delivery
- Collaborate with division-level Automation POCs to build, assess, and maintain a robust pipeline of automation opportunities.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and achieve intended business outcomes.
- Maintain an automation backlog and facilitate governance reviews for pipeline prioritization.
4. Solution Development and Implementation Oversight
- Ensure best practices in solution architecture, reusable component design, and automation development.
- Implement agile delivery principles to manage project sprints, demos, retrospectives, and releases.
- Manage project risks, testing cycles, and post-deployment support protocols.
5. Stakeholder Engagement and Value Realization
- Act as the main delivery partner for automation engagements, communicating clearly with business stakeholders about project status, risks, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the OPEX partners to embed automation into broader business transformation initiatives.
- Lead regular governance sessions, value tracking, resource utilization and performance reporting for automation initiatives.
6. Collaboration with the OPEX Director and Data Science Lead
- Partner with the Data Science Lead to explore opportunities for AI integration into automation solutions (e.g., intelligent bots, predictive workflows).
- Collaborate with the OPEX Director to align automation projects with broader digital transformation goals.

Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field (Masters preferred)
- Minimum 7-9 years of relevant experience, including at least 3-5 years leading automation solution delivery teams
- Strong, hands-on experience in Python programming for automation scripting, custom solution development, and API integrations
- Working experience with low-code/no-code automation platforms (e.g., UiPath, Power Platform, etc.) for rapid delivery of appropriate use cases
- Solid understanding of Web Development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript,
REST APIs) to support custom automation and web integrations - Ability to assess automation requirements and determine the best-fit approach (lowcode vs. full-stack development) based on complexity, scalability, and maintainability
- Familiarity with intelligent document processing (IDP), OCR, low-code platform integrations, and hybrid automation architectures
- Experience managing technical developers (both RPA developers and software
engineers) and technical BAs - Preferred certifications:
- Python programming certifications (PCEP, PCAP) or equivalent practical experience
- UiPath Advanced RPA Developer, Microsoft Power Platform certification (preferred but not mandatory)
- Agile Scrum Master or Product Owner Certification
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (optional)
