IAM Engineer
About the job IAM Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement IAM solutions aligned with security and compliance needs
- Build custom applications, connectors, and integrations for IAM workflows
- Configure and manage IAM platforms, SSO, and MFA systems
- Oversee user lifecycle (provisioning, deprovisioning, role changes) and automate onboarding/offboarding
- Define and enforce access control policies (RBAC, ABAC) and update as needed
- Implement and maintain authentication/authorization mechanisms (LDAP, OAuth, SAML, Kerberos)
- Monitor IAM systems, address vulnerabilities, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Support incident response related to IAM breaches or incidents
- Maintain documentation, reports, and metrics on IAM processes and access compliance
- Collaborate with IT, security, compliance teams, and vendors on IAM strategies
- Stay updated on IAM technologies, trends, and best practices to drive improvements
- Provide knowledge transfer and guidance on IAM security best practices
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of IAM/IT security experience (Saviynt required; ForgeRock preferred; SailPoint & Ping a plus)
- 1+ year in consulting/advisory or pre-sales of IAM/IGA solutions (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of IAM best practices, security/compliance, and tools (Azure, AD, SSO, PAM, MFA)
- Hands-on experience implementing, maintaining, and administering IAM/IGA solutions
- Skilled in provisioning/deprovisioning, app integrations, and workflow creation
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills with ability to mitigate security risks
- Effective communication and project management; works well with cross functional teams
- Understanding of cloud computing, storage, security, and virtualization best practices
- Proficient in Java, HTML, SQL, Python, JavaScript, JSON, and XML
- Strong time management and ability to handle shifting priorities
- Preferred certifications: CIAM, SailPoint, Saviynt, CyberArk
