Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our Healthcare account team. As a CSR, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providers, and insurance companies, providing accurate information and support regarding healthcare services, billing, and medical coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls related to patient inquiries, insurance claims, billing, and healthcare services
  • Provide accurate and timely information regarding benefits, eligibility, and claims status
  • Resolve customer issues efficiently while maintaining a high level of empathy and professionalism
  • Document call interactions and updates in the system following data privacy guidelines
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers and internal departments to resolve complex issues
  • Uphold HIPAA compliance and ensure confidentiality of sensitive health information
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics such as call quality, resolution time, and customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree is a plus
  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a healthcare or insurance-related environment
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare plans, and insurance processes is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Empathetic, patient, and professional when handling sensitive health-related concerns
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in using CRM systems, call center software, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and healthcare compliance standards is an advantage
