About the job Payroll Analyst
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
- 2+ years of payroll and accounting experience in a multi-state payroll department with high volume operations
- Experience in Sarbanes-Oxley-compliant environment
- Advanced knowledge of Excel; must be proficient in other standard workplace applications, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Candidates may be asked to work shifts to align with global assignments
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong working knowledge of Workday and Deel
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation
- Strong understanding of Workday financials functional areas; Professional Services
- Automation (Including Projects, Customers, and Time & Expense), Procurement, Suppliers and AP, Banking and Settlement, Business assets, and all core Accounting
- Workday certifications
Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll for all employees, including salaries, bonuses, and commissions.
- Prepare payroll-related reports and year-end filings with third-party processors like Deel and Workday.
- Ensure accurate accounting entries and monthly accruals for wages, commissions, bonuses, vacation, and travel.
- Collaborate with HR on employee changes (e.g., new hires, terminations, LOAs, tax updates).
- Handle deductions (e.g., garnishments, benefits, retirement plans) and ensure equity earnings are W-2 compliant.
- Assist with quarter-end closes, audits, and system data integrity.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries courteously and efficiently.
- Support Workday integrations and maintain accurate payroll system setup.
- Participate in special projects and ensure adherence to policies and ethical standards.
