Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in mathematics, computer science, economics, or statistics
  • Three or more years of experience mining data as a data analyst
  • Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualization
  • Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations
  • Advanced Excel Skills, with aptitude for learning other analytics tools
  • Proficiency in Tableau Ability to maintain confidentiality based on access to proprietary financial, operational and competitive information.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse systems, specifically Snowflake, is a huge plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Business Analytics team to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships
  • Gather, analyze and interpret data to help supported business units solve problems and allow for operational process improvements
  • Use tools and techniques to develop and visualize data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs
  • Data Cleaning and Validation: Ensure data quality by fixing errors, duplicates, and outliers while ensuring the accuracy of the data
  • Process Improvement: Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to streamline operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and standardize workflows.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets
  • Evaluate organizational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for datasets
  • Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization
  • Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data
  • Proactively analyze data to address key questions for stakeholders and yourself, focusing on what drives business performance.
  • Investigate and communicate which areas require improvement in efficiency and productivity
