Cost Accounting Analyst

Purpose of the Role
The Cost Accounting Analyst supports the company in monitoring and controlling costs, particularly in product costing, inventory management, and margin analysis.
This role ensures that product costing is accurate, inventory records are reliable, and cost-related issues are identified early to help protect profitability and support operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Costing
- Compute and maintain accurate product and menu costing
- Review and update standard costs as needed
- Analyze cost components including raw materials, labor, and overhead
- Coordinate with Operations and Supply Chain for costing inputs and updates
2. Inventory & Margin Reporting and Analysis
- Track inventory movements and monitor stock levels
- Analyze gross margins by product, category, or location
- Identify and investigate cost and margin variances
- Highlight unusual transactions and recommend corrective actions
3. SAP Posting Compliance Monitoring
- Ensure inventory and cost-related transactions are correctly and consistently posted in SAP
- Monitor proper use of accounts and cost centers
- Support reconciliation between physical inventory and system records
- Assist in improving cost and inventory recording processes
4. Monthly Wares and Raw Materials Count
- Support and review monthly physical counts of wares and raw materials
- Investigate discrepancies between physical and system quantities
- Ensure timely documentation and reporting of inventory adjustments
- Coordinate with multi-site teams to maintain inventory accuracy

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BS Accountancy)
- CPA license not required
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, production-based, or F&B environment
- Basic understanding of product costing, inventory accounting, and accounting principles
- Preferably with experience in SAP Business One (SAP B1)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, basic analysis)
- Experience working with raw materials, wares, and production processes
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with numbers
- Able to explain financial information in a clear and simple manner
- Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
